To all ladies readers, you can offer it as a gift to your man for any occasion because it is a smoother blade that have many options including a sensor.

To all men readers, this is your best shaver ever because you feel more handsome and neat on your beard. A neat, quality and professional blade which is easily to use and transportable wherever you go.

This Panasonic electric razor works very very well on both dry or wet skin. It is definitely one of the best shavers in the market. It gives a close shave with a great ease and brilliant speed. Due to its ability to conduct a wet shave it has been designed with a somewhat non-slip coating on the back which works okay – the shaver does fit nicely in the hand and has a plastic bit for the thumb to rest on. The shaving head is slightly angled and swivels in all directions to match the contours of the face and neck.

Recomendation on how to use it:

Use both dry or wet, it works best  but the best is in dry mode.  First of all wash your face first, dry, then rub a drop of pre-shave oil (King of Shaves) on to the stubble – this enables the shaver to glide very smoothly over the beard and the finish is very clean, smooth and equal. When using in wet mode with a gel foam or facewash, it shaved equally smoothly but it’s difficult to see the finish as you’re shaving. It does not leave any neckline red at all, like many other electric shavers. This is the easiest electric shaver to clean as rinsing it under a running tap does the job. It comes with a cleaning brush, a clip on guard for the blades and a charging cable. It also comes with a travel pouch to store everything in.

Garnier Skin Active Facial Mask review

Hi people

Finally my review on my favourite skincare over a month. I have been using the whole Garnier Skin Active which something I wanted to experience on my skin. All skin types can used this mask which is easily to use, simple instruction, real result, no paraben and affordable price.

It has become my daily skincare routine as I like to take care of my skin to look smooth and young. At least I use one or two of the mask once a week as part of my weekly skincare routine.

Face masks are a great way to pamper your skin and I tend to use one every weekend, just to experience that ‘feel good factor’. Here is the review of one if the most affordable mask from Garnier. Garnier has launched a few masks in the ‘Skin Active’ range and I purchased five of them.

☆Juicy MaskA new generation of face mask combining Lemon Extract and Smoothing Active Glycolic Acid in a jelly texture that illuminates for smooth, radiant skin with a healthy glow. No Parabens.
Immediately: skin looks more refined, luminous, with a healthy glow.
Long-lasting effectiveness: skin tone appears more radiant, smoother and softer

The Garnier Skin Active Juicy Face Mask comes packaged in a small plastic sachet which bears all the product-related information. The product is jelly in consistency. It spreads well and smoothly on the skin. The product is a transparent gel which has a mild, orange fragrance.

Usually, I apply a generous amount of the product on my face, avoiding the eye and lip areas. I have combination skin, but the mask doesn’t feel itchy after application. The mask works like an orange peel face mask. I use all face masks in the evening/night so that the effects last longer. Though the instruction is to use the face mask for around 5 minutes but, I need more than 5 minutes to apply it so, I allow it sit on my face for around 10 minutes. The product partially absorbs into the skin after 10 minutes.

The skin feels very clean, soft and smooth after usage. The face mask also provides a brightening effect to my skin while lightening the acne scars effectively. The results were visible for a maximum of two days after which my skin comes back to its original texture. This face mask doesn’t dry out my skin but doesn’t hydrate it either. So, I apply a night cream to moisturise my skin. There is more than enough quantity for at least 2 usages. Overall, I love this face mask and would use it on any day.

☆Aqua Mask

Product Description:
A new generation of face mask combining Pomegranate and Glycerin in a fresh jelly texture. It hydrates to quench skin’s thirst and it rehydrates skin in just 10 minutes, leaving it replumped and silky-smooth. No Parabens.
Immediately: skin looks bouncy, fresher.
Long-lasting effectiveness: skin feels hydrated, suppler and softer.
How to Use:
Apply on clean and dry skin.
Avoid eye and lip areas.
Leave on for 10 minutes, then massage in the excess product until completely absorbed or remove excess with a cotton pad.

This wet mask comes in a small sachet with all instructions printed on the packaging. The product is sky blue in color. The fragrance is fresh and fruity. I applied a generous amount of product on my face, avoiding the eye and lip area. It’s suggested that the mask is kept for 10 minutes and then washed off with water.

The mask has a gel-like consistency. It’s not very thick and hence you can apply a thin layer of it on the face and that should be sufficient. The mask creates a cooling effect on the skin. I would prefer it on a warm day to feel the cooling effect. I also noticed that the product got well absorbed by the skin after 10 minutes.

During the process of the mask.

Instead of washing it off, I massaged it well into the skin and left it on for another 10 minutes. By the end of 20 minutes, I could hardly see any product left on my face. But still, I washed it off with lukewarm water. The mask washed off very easily. While washing it felt more like a face wash with no froth.

There was absolutely no stinging or burning on my sensitive skin. I enjoyed the mask even more because of the fragrance. The fragrance is so good that it lightens up your mood. It’s really a refreshing mask. The mask left my skin noticeably bright and clean. My skin also felt very soft.

My skin didn’t feel dry after using it nor was I left with oily skin. I could feel that my skin was well hydrated. I used the mask at night and finished off by applying a night cream. Overall, it felt like a luxurious mask and the results lasted 3 days.

Pros of Garnier Skin Active Aqua Face Mask:

¤Perfect for every skin type
¤Cooling and refreshing
¤ Great fragrance
¤More than enough product for one use
¤ Quick and easy to use
¤Easy to wash off
¤ Results in bright, soft skin
¤Paraben free
¤ Results last at least 3 days

Cons of Garnier Skin Active Aqua Face Mask:

¤ Wish the packaging was resealable

☆ Volcano Mask

A new generation of face mask combining Volcanic rock and Clay in a self-heating clay texture that minimises the appearance of pores for pure, smooth skin. No Parabens.

• Immediately: skin appears purified and looks smoother and less shiny.
• Long-lasting effectiveness: pores look unclogged and seem less visible.
• Skin appears refreshed.

How to Use:
• Apply on clean and dry skin.
• Avoid eye and lip areas.
• Leave on for 3 minutes, then rinse.

This wet mask comes in a small sachet with all instruction printed on the packaging. The product is creamy and slightly sticky in consistency. It spreads well and smoothly on the skin. The product is brick red in colour and feels warm when applied on the skin. The fragrance is mild but fresh. I used it on a cold day and it felt so good on the skin. The warmth was really needed and I loved the feel of it.

I applied a generous amount of product on my face, avoiding the eye and lip area. As soon as I applied the mask, my face started feeling warm. I have sensitive skin and was a little worried at the beginning. But the mask didn’t feel itchy or prickly. So I continued the application. The mask feels more like a toothpaste and does not dry. It’s suggested that the mask has to be kept for 3 minutes and then washed off with water but it took me almost 3 minutes to carefully apply.

I love the process of applying masks and hence it takes long. So I decided to keep it on for some more time and then I continued with other chores and forgot about the mask. When I realized it was almost 20 minutes So I rushed to wash the mask with lukewarm water. The product washed off quickly and my skin looked really bright and clean. The product is supposed to contain volcanic rock  and vlay which help in minimising the pores. My skin looked good the next day, too. There is still enough product left for one more use and I plan to repurchase this mask for sure.

Pros of Garnier Skin Active Volcano Face Mask:

• Perfect for oily to combination skin type
• Great fragrance
• Can be used multiple times
• Quick and easy to use
• Easy to wash off
• Results in mattified skin
• Does not dry out the skin
• Paraben free
• Makes the skin feel clean and soft

Cons of Garnier Skin Active Volcano Face Mask:

• Wish it came with a resealable packaging

☆ Self-heating mask

This mask is special and unique because it does the work as it is described. It is similar to Volcano mask but you really feel the difference.I was intrigued by this mask though, as it’s a self heating sauna mask. Now, I’m familiar with self-heating products as I have Soap & Glory’s No Clogs Allowed mask, and also Body Shop’s Seaweed mask. And I saw that this had White Clay and Zinc – absolutely perfect for drawing out skin impurities and excess oils.

Its like a pale blue mask, and once it is applied, you can feel instant heat on your face and on your finger tips too haha! The amount of product in these sachets is definitely a lot to cover the entire face, and you may be even left with extra product. But I apply more over my bad problem areas. When I washed off the mask, it felt really really warm on my finger tips haha! And it does take a lot of washing to remove this off your face. So the mask claims that it leaves the skin shine-free, and remains clean and purified for 7 days. I wasn’t able to agree with this though. Yeah, my skin did feel purified and refreshed – which is a great feeling as I hate when my skin feels greasy through the day.  I do like this mask however, as it’s a great product to help my skin from all of the dirt and impurities; and it makes my skin feel really fresh 😀 And I have purchased this mulitple times now haha as I do think it works really well! 🙂

Bodyshop Seaweed Clay mask review

Hi all, hope you’re well and have had a great plan this weekend.

Today’s post is going to be very different to that which you’re accustomed to on the blog, as I’ll be providing a review for a beauty product; the Body Shop’s Seaweed Clay Mask.

When it comes to facial skincare, specifically masks, my routine usually consist of homemade products using food ingredients, which are great for skin. The results are consistently good. Its only shortcoming is its inability to combat my prone-to-be oily t-zone, which isn’t a big issue for me. Oh yes, it can be messy too.

I am a great fan of Bodyshop I don’t know why but like looking after my skin. I’m not everyday makeup type though I like to look natural. In case you don’t know it is primarily important to look after before applying anything else on your face. So thought I’d give it a try. This product is said to be oil-balancing and deep-cleansing.  Although I was quite hesitant, because I’m a “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” kinda person; a good number of the products I use are quite dated (she’s loyal, LOL). Occasionally I do feel experimental, hence why I decided to try it. Besides, it says it is oil balancing; more reason to try it.

The process of applying the mask was fine. It’s of a thick consistency, and you only need a small quantity to cover your face. It dries up in about a minute or so, so it’s not messy. I left the product on for about 10 minutes as it is recommended on the product. During the process I was having some tingling sensation which you can see crack on my face. This is the effect of the product by opening your pores. It is removable easily which leave your skin fresh and glowing.

The general outcome was okay. I definitely can attest to the fact that it minimises the oil produced. In addition to that, it leaves your face feeling soft. Really and truly, my only issue with this product is the irritable feeling. This certainly won’t be bearable if you have overly sensitive skin. Personally, I won’t use this product weekly. Maybe fortnightly.

Forgive me my blank stare, but when using this it’s preferable to keep a poker face as bursting into laughter (which happens when people make fun of you for looking like a ghost/zombie) will result in clay gunk all over the place.

  • purifies, refreshes and smoothes the skin
  • gets rid of excess oil
  • helps dry out pimples faster
  • reduces blackheads

  • stinging sensation (sensitive skin), can be too drying because of the alcohol
  • some people might get a breakout afterwards (I didn’t have any problems with this, only some redness)
  • strong chemical-like scent
  • takes a long time to wash off and it’s kind of a big mess (or is that just me?)

Conclusion: This mask works great as a detoxifying and clarifying mask for people with combination/oily skin (and those that are prone to acne). Skip it when you have sensitive skin as it will only get irritated. Only use it on areas that are (very) oily!

Glowing skin result 😇👑☄

Have you tried this product before? What are your thoughts? What other face masks would you recommend, preferably oil-balancing? Your suggestions would be helpful.

Bodyshop Seaweed skincare review

I have often banged my gums about The Body Shop Seaweed range but never took the time to sit down and share my thoughts on the collection.

As I have just bought a mini travel kit I thought now would be the best time to share my thoughts so I can share shiny new bottle rather than my full size half used and abused bottles! If you have oily/combination skin I really can not recommend the range enough,

I can honestly say that if I wasn’t a beauty blogger and forever on the look out for the next best thing then this would be my to go to skin care routine.

When my skin flares up or goes through an extra oily phase then this is what I reach forand if you travel a lot and hate filling up bottles to pack in your case head to The Body Shop where you can pick up a little dinky kit full of Seaweed products for £10!

The Body Shop Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash

This is a light gel product that is soap and oil free yet effectively cleanses the face without

stripping it of moisture yet helps to control excess oil production.

It has a light fresh aquatic scent which is to be expected from a product with Seaweed in the title,

it foams lightly but makes light work of make-up removal

The Body Shop Seaweed Toner

This is the one product in the range I don’t really tend to re-purchase,

it’s a nice enough toner and great for on the go but other than helping to ensure you have

removed every scrap of make-up/dirt I don’t really find it all that effective.

It  minimises pores and control excess oil.

Seaweed Pore cleansing exfiolator

Let me just start off buy saying if you are like me above (think you know your skin but really are just mix and matching to find products), then PLEASE do yourself a favour and go into a The Body Shop store and get your skin type tested/found!

So back to this AMAZEBALLS seaweed exfoliator, it was a perfect match for my skin type – combination to oily. It smells good, it looks good, it even feels good. What’s even better is that it actually does what it is meant too – exfoliate the skin – WITHOUT completely stripping your face of its’ natural oils (if you don’t know what happens with face cleansers/exfoliators that do this then I’ll sum it up – stripping your face of oils leads to it being dry leading to excess sebum (oil) production causing to blocked pores and ultimately PIMPLES).

The texture is grainy but not rough – it has small bead-like texture. I use it twice a week; wouldn’t recommend anymore than that. I use this in conjunction with the seaweed cleanser during the week for a deeper clean ever few days. My skin is left FEELING clean, soft and glowing and NOT dry!

Mattyifing Moisturise Lotion

A light almost serum like product that gives oily skin a light dose of hydration

yet mattifies the skin and does not overwhelm it with moisture.

I love applying this before make-up application as it leaves a great matte base

and helps prevent excess oil production throughout the day.

If you need a light moisturiser that mattifies I can not recommend this enough

Is Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water a Dupe?

For a few month now, I’ve been hearing about how great micellar cleansing waters are for gently removing makeup, but I honestly thought — how? It’s just a bottle of water! Turns out, I’ve been wrong. As a beauty blogger I’m always testing out new products, usually on a day to day basis and my product theory is pretty simple: the product either works or it doesn’t. Whether I’m swatching products on the back of my hand or trying out a new foundation, at the end of the day I need something that works. It has to be quick, easy to use and remove every trace of hard to remove eyeliner swatches and long-wearing lipsticks.

The new Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water just hit my local CVS, and I paid about £5 for 13.5 oz, howeveryou can do a life saver by buying it in Poundland. So if the Garnier works, we’re talking major savings here.

Okay, so what’s micellar water?

I had to do a little research here, because this was so foreign to me, but I found this great article on Huffington Post that explains it all.

According to board-certified dermatologist Hadley King of Skinney Medspa, micellar water is made up of micelles (tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules) suspended in soft water. “The idea is that micelles are attracted to dirt and oil, so they are able to draw out impurities without drying out the skin,” she says. Therefore, micellar water can be used as a facial wash, makeup remover and moisturizer all in one. — Huffington Post

I’m a big fan of micellar waters and when I first got into the whole beauty/skincare/makeup scene I made the assumption that they weren’t worth purchasing as they were just overpriced spring water, I was naive and wrong but when I finally did try one I was sold straight after my first cotton pad soaked in the stuff. Now a huge cleansing water addict I can say amongst the many other micellar waters I’ve tried Garnier is one that comes out on top, it’s like a magnet for makeup, oil and dirt.

As someone with dry, sensitive and eczema prone skin I loved that this was non-drying, non-irritating and didn’t cause any flareups. It’s such a soothing and refreshing product and legitimately feels like a cool, refreshing bath for your skin. People with oily or combination skin needn’t fret just yet as it’s also light, non-greasy and non-oily making it perfect for all skintypes.

A major skincare addict, means cleansing twice is something I class as an essential step in my skincare routine, especially if I’ve worn makeup throughout the day. I start by cleansing once to remove makeup and cleanse again to remove any dirts & oils that have built up on my skin throughout the day. Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water helps to completely simplify my skincare routine (and it is perfect for use after cleansing oils because it removes any residue that’s left behind)

I’ve even experimented with using this AFTER cleansing twice with a cream or oil cleanser and it still managed to find the smallest little bits of dirt and makeup that were left on my face and removed them.

In terms of Lipstick it struggles to remove waterpoof/longwearing lipsticks, glosses and stains but it does great at removing most lipsticks and glosses and remains of faded lip colour.

I like to soak a few cotton pads in cleansing water and put them in a ziplock bag for on-the-go use, they’re much more refreshing than face wipes, and not to mention a heck of a lot more effective at cleansing the skin and removing makeup and like face wipes it doesn’t need to be rinsed off.

Overall Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water is a fantastic product and the way it cleanses the skin is like magic. For less than £10 for 400ml I’m so glad that there is now a budget friendly option for micellar water lovers who don’t want to spend a lot of money.
